Basic Examination of Renal Cyst

Basic examination of renal cyst132418054.jpg

Intravenous pyelography (IVP): it shows the extent to which the cyst compacts the renal parenchyma and can be distinguished from hydronephrosis.

Routine urine examination: if the cyst is found to be pressing the renal parenchyma or is associated with an intra-capsular infection, a small amount of white blood cells and red blood cells may appear in the bird species.

B ultrasound: you can know the size of cyst, cystic wall and the number of cysts. And can also be differentiated from renal parenchymal mass, as the preferred examination method. Typical B-mode ultrasound is characterized by smooth cystic wall, clear boundary, no echo in the lesion area. When there is a household rule or localized echo enhancement in the cystic wall, we should be on guard against malignancy, and the cyst wall will become thicker when there is secondary infection. There are fine echoes in the lesion area, and when there is bleeding in the capsule, the echo will be enhanced. Multiple cysts should be distinguished from polycystic kidneys and atrial cysts when the imaging indicates multiple cysts.
